E-Fork® - E-Gate

1.1 Aim of the project
Following is our tech project to improve security in portual areas. It aims to monitor all vehicles and persons entering harbour gates and to manage the collected data.
Introduction
Our project aims to realize a functional system of control and management of harbour gates and restricted areas, using innovative informatic and communication technologies. It has been developed with the help of experienced informatic engineeres and experts.

The technologic value of this project lies in its architecture, because it promotes
an integration among following systems:

TELECOMMUNICATION systems (data, documents, voice, images)
INFORMATIC systems (owned by Companies, Departments, single persons)
SECURITY systems (prevention of intrusions or fire events, control of access or presence)
AUTOMATION systems (conditioning plants, waterworks electrical installations)
The most important advantage of the evolution from Data Bank to Communication Network, is the possibility to organize the whole structure in a way that it can works as shown previously.

1.2. General Composition of the System and Functioning.
The whole system can be divided in sub-systems, and therefore, it is possible to furnish in different moments the various elements forming the architecture of the electronic gate.
